Story

Thanks for looking at our page for our aim to walk the entire Northern Line in just 8 hours for Parkinson's UK.

In 2012, our dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, which motivated Bension's decision to focus his PhD in Medicine at Imperial College London on the condition, working with and being supported by Parkinson's UK.

Parkinson’s UK estimated around 145,000 people with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s in the UK in 2018. 1 in 37 people alive today will be diagnosed with the condition in their lifetime. Parkinson's UK has been leading the way in supporting and advancing the search for better treatments and - one day - a cure for the condition. The latest achievements include technology to help diagnose Parkinson's quicker, to aid treatment, and to better understand the development of symptoms over time.

In support of Parkinson's UK's profound and amazing work, on 28 July 2019 we'll walk Edgware to Morden (via Charing Cross), kitted out with merch and collection buckets, stopping at every station on the way and at Parkinson's UK's Head Office, hoping to reach the end of the line in just under 8 hours. But our efforts won't terminate here. Please support us in any way you can to help advance the search for better treatment and a cure for Parkinson's - for our dad and all those with the condition in the UK and worldwide.

Thank you! Naji and Bension
