Any support and donations would be so appreciated x
On 10th May 2012 our lives changed forever. We very sadly lost our baby son, and firstborn child, Dylan Benjamin Seabrook.
Dylan was born asleep at 9.20pm, weighing just 420g, at Kingston Hospital.
I had been signed off work from the end of March due to high blood pressure and severe placental insufficiency. We prayed every day we could get far enough along so our baby could survive. But on a cold and wet May morning we were told our son's heartbeat had stopped and I would have to deliver him naturally.
The days and months that have followed our son's death have been very much a blur, very often not knowing how to get through the next day. The world seems a darker place.
We want you all to know that Dylan was perfect in every way. 10 fingers, 10 toes, and so so beautiful. He was the spitting image of his Daddy.
We never for a second imagined that the moment we met our son was also the moment we would say goodbye.
All of the money we raise will go directly to SANDS and make a massive difference to their mission statement:
- To support anyone affected by the death of a baby;
- To work with health professionals to improve the quality of care and services provided to bereaved parents and families;
- To promote changes in antenatal practive and fund research that could help reduce the loss of babies' lives.
17 babies a day are stillborn or die within the first 28 days of life. Please help us raise money to help SANDS prevent more babies from dying.
Without Sands, we would be feeling more alone than we do already, more lost, and more scared of our future. We need Sands to keep researching stillbirth to help give us answers.
So please dig deep and donate now. For Dylan xx
