Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Ben Warburton and myself (Ben Ellis) are going to cycle from Lands End in South West England to John O'Groats in Northern Scotland during our October half term this year. These are the two furthest points on the British mainland and the route that we will be taking is over 1000 miles long. We will be doing the ride between 15th October and 30th October and will be averaging somewhere in the region of 80-90 miles a day over 14 full days of cycling. We are going to be raising money for the amazing charity that is Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital. This is a brilliant cause that helps seriously ill children in the UK and their Parents. The money raised will make a huge difference to children's lives and their families. Please give whatever you can. Thank you.
The Route
We are going to cycle through Devon and Cornwall towards Bristol and the Bridge over to Wales. We will the follow the English-Welsh border towards Hereford and then finally up to Manchester and Liverpool. We will then cycle up the west coast of the UK towards Carlisle. After reaching Carlislewe are going to continue up the west coast, into Scotland, then through Glasgow and up to Oban. Once reaching Oban we will then cut straight across central Scotland past Loch Ness and into Inverness. The final leg of our journey will see us cycling up the East Coast of Scotland until we reach John o' Groats.
