Story
20 years ago I used to work in the Castlemead building on the 11th floor. I saw this challenge to raise money for Bristol's St Peter's Hospice and couldn't resist seeing the building again - this time from the outside!
So, on July 11th I will be stepping over the edge and descending backwards over 260 feet from the top of Castlemead to help support patients and families across Bristol. It's a bloody long way down and I'll be trusting a rope - so please support me!
I'm doing this because, over the years, several friends and family have depended on their local hospice for end of life care. Maybe you know a loved one like that too. Wherever they are, hospices do vital work and need our support.
St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Their commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All care is provided free of charge, but it costs around £20,000 a day to provide that care.
