Story
As many of you will know I enjoy running and the benefits it brings to me both physically and mentally. What you may not know is my Father was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a while back and it was him that got me into running, in particular my desire to want to run the London Marathon. From a very young boy my Father and Uncle (who sadly lost his fight against cancer) would take me up to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich on Marathon day and put me on their shoulders so I could cheer the runners on.
So now it’s my time to run the marathon and for me there was no better inspiration than to run for Prostate Cancer Research. Prostate Cancer is the most common male cancer and recently became the most commonly diagnosed cancer in England so PCR urgently need to help develop new and effective treatments for those already diagnosed and those who in future years will also unfortunately develop the disease. If you would like to help me hit my target and hopefully exceed it I would be truly grateful as would many others affected by this cruel disease. Oh and don’t forget the gift aid!
Thanks for your support, Ben.
