Story
In April 2013 I decided to embark on my own marathon adventure in memory of my brother Adam who had lost his battle with depression a year earlier. For some crazy reason I have made the decision to run again in the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon.
For many years Adam and I had talked about running the gruelling 26.2 miles of a Marathon. While I had become lazy and unfit, Adam had showed great determination to compete in a number of half marathons. His distinctive flat footed running style had got him round the courses at Reading and The Forest of Dean. I'm sure that if he'd had the chance his grit and determination would have seen him round the course in London.
For those of you who have run a marathon before you'll understand the level of commitment and determination required to make it around the gruelling 26 mile course. Whether running at 5 in the morning with snow on the road or 10 at night in the rain and wind you have to dedicate months of your life for one 26 mile journey that tests both your mental and physical endurance.
But all of the pain that I will endure can be justified as hopefully I can help raise money to support the Samaritans who help thousands of people every day who are suffering from depression and mental illness just like Adam was. If the money that you donate can help one person pick up the phone and realise that there is hope then what I am doing will be a success.

Many thanks for your continued support.
