Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
My name is Ben Sparrey, I am a 21 year old personal trainer from Middlesbrough. I have chosen take the challenge and raise money for The Princes Trust. I have chosen to take the challenge to give those the same oppertunities and equalities as others.
The young people helped by The Prince's Trust are the long-term unemployed, people who have been in trouble with the law, people who are in difficulty at school, and people who have been in care.
Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year.
The Princes Trust address this by giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. They help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, helping young people to move into work, education or training.
The Challenge
I am aiming to raise a minimum of £3500 for The Princes Trust. Any money raised, large or small, will be completley donated to the cause.
I will cross the continental divide at around 2,330m on a journey from the edge of the Pacific ocean to the shores of the Caribbean Sea.
During this time I am required to cycle, hike and kayak 250km through Costa Rica, sleeping in remote jungle locations.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Any donations given are very much welcomed and greatly appreciated.
