Story

Dear all,

This year I've decided to make a return to the half marathon that started me off running back in 2010 - the Bupa Great North Run! This will also be a lead up to the Dublin marathon in October and I'll be trying for personal best times in both races.

I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me in the Paris marathon earlier this year, which I ran for Cancer Research UK after my mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in December. You helped me raise over £1,000 for this very worthy cause and I'm very grateful for all your donations. For the GNR I'm going to be running for Bowel Cancer UK - a charity which aims to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

Whilst I am aware that some will have already donated to my earlier fundraising campaign, we would really appreciate your support yet again, no matter how modest.

The date of the Great North Run is Sunday 7th September and the Dublin marathon is on Monday 27th October. Again, I am looking forward to these two challenging races and helping to fight bowel cancer.
