Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Chris and I are running the April 2023 London Marathon to show support for my girlfriend Fran and raise awareness of Lymphoma. Fran was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin Lymphoma last August at just 21 years old.

This is a rare type of blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system, and about one in six of all cancers affecting young people are diagnosed as Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Fran's gone through 12 rounds of chemotherapy and due to the cancer not completely clearing, she is now currently waiting to undergo a stem cell transplant in the coming weeks.

It’s been so tough for Fran seeing her life completely change in such a short space of time, but she’s been so strong and inspirational since the diagnosis. Thankfully, this particular cancer is very treatable and there are multiple treatment options.

Nevertheless, such treatments have only become available as a result of funding and research into the disease - and it is donations towards Lymphoma Action which drive this. The charity aim to provide information, and provide support for individuals and families affected by lymphoma.

Any donations will be really appreciated and thanks once again for visiting our page.
