Ben raised a great amount earlier in the year when he did the London Marathon for ARUK, but is now asking for your support one final time as he plans to step up to the biggest challenge of the year, a full Ironman triathlon in Barcelona.

The Ironman involves a 2.4 mile sea swim, 112-mile cycle and 26.2-mile run back-to-back in one day.  That's the equivalent of swimming from Cardiff to Bristol, cycling from Bristol to London and then doing the London Marathon to finish!

After almost a year of training, both Ben & Becky are tackling the Barcelona Ironman in memory of Paula (Ben's nan) and to raise as much as possible for Alzheimer's Research to support their mission to make research breakthroughs possible and ultimately find a cure for dementia!

Sadly at Christmas, Paula lost her long fight with dementia that had already taken away from her so many of the things in life that we take for granted. 

1 in 3 people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime.  This is a surprisingly high number and something that therefore could have an impact on you or someone very close to you.

For that reason, and for those who have already been affected like Paula, please be generous with your donation to help change the course of this disease.
