Story
On 1st January 2021 my mum, Gillian Passey (Moss), passed away very suddenly. In lieu of funeral flowers we are asking if people would consider making a donation to the RSPCA Newport.
Mum was a huge animal lover and adopted many pets over the years. She was passionately opposed to any form of animal cruelty and supported the work of the RSPCA in any way she was able.
I remember one Christmas, part of my present to mum was a donation to the RSPCA to help feed the dogs. She was so happy with this present, above everything else I got her! I know any donations from people in her name would mean the world to her. Given the current pandemic I know the RSPCA are also in need of the money more now than ever.
Just 2 years ago mum gave 'baby' Almond a loving new home. A little dog that for a while knew only abuse and neglect is now happy and settled in her loving forever home. I used to take my mum to see Almond at the RSPCA Newport prior to the adoption; she was always incredibly timid and scared. Nowadays, as a lively and affectionate little dog, she is a constant reminder of both the excellent work of the RSPCA and the incredible love given by mum.
Almond is but one example of all the love and care my mum gave to all her pets past and present. She would be overjoyed with any donations towards helping animals in her name.
