Story
We first ran for the Brittle Bone Society (BBS) in 2011. For years, we've planned to do a marathon together for the BBS, and now here we are. It's now or never!
The BBS supports people born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as brittle bone disease. OI is a genetic bone disorder characterised by fragile bones that break easily and children born with OI may tire easier than other children. Symptoms can range from mild to severe and might include scoliosis, diminished stature and some degree of joint or bone pain.
The BBS is the main UK charity dedicated to addressing the needs of people born with OI and their families, including assistance to obtain suitable mobility equipment. The website is here: https://www.brittlebone.
