Story
My cat Tom is a part of my family, he is a big part of my
comfort and support as he is always there sitting on my lap or cuddling up to
me on the bed. He has been a big part of helping to improve my mental health
especially throughout the pandemic. I could not think of leaving him behind if
I had to leave home due to Domestic Abuse.
But this is what would happen if Paws for Kids did not run their Endeavour projects providing a pet
fostering service for people escaping Domestic Abuse in the North West.
This charity is invaluable offering support for ALL members
of a family, women, men, children and their pets.
This is my first 10k. Please show your support by donating
on my just giving page if you can. Thank you
Last year 1.9 million women aged 16-59 reported suffering domestic abuse since the age of 16.Two women a week are murdered by their partner or ex partner and 30 men were murdered last year as a result of domestic violence.25% of domestic abuse survivors returned to a abusive partner out of concern for their pet. Here at Endeavour they offer a unique fostering service for pets ensuring that no one gets left behind. They receive no funding for this service and rely on the support of amazing people like you to keep these animals safe.
