Story
Hello all, I'm Ben and this September, I'll be running the
Great North Run on behalf of the Miscarriage Association.
Having had two miscarriages, me and my partner, Mel, know
just how difficult it can be to get past such a soul- destroying loss. With very little support from particular services and because of the taboo surrounding miscarriages, we felt so lost in how to deal with such an emotional time of grieving and to get help both physically and mentally. For these reasons and
many more, we want to do our bit and raise money to
help others, raise awareness of support and hopefully to help break the stigma surrounding miscarriages. From the very moment of reading the positive result on a pregnancy test, the bond and love you share together is like no other. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't question ‘Why?’, think about what ‘could have been’ or that we don’t think about how much we miss our little shining stars. You never arrived in our arms but you will always be in our hearts. To all the little stars up there, keep shining brightly 💫 you are so very loved ❤️
