Story

Our friend Adam was diagnosed with Multiple-Myeloma at the end of 2019, the day before his gorgeous wife Petra gave birth to Bill giving Lucy (4) a little brother.
It’s been a busy year for Adam.  He started Chemotherapy 1 week after Bill was born completing his 6th cycle in July before then having a Stem Cell Transplant (SCT). In this respect he has been very lucky because his treatment has been relatively unaffected by Covid and his cancer levels are now low and hopefully stable.

Unfortunately Multiple-Myeloma is not curable and someday his cancer level will rise again. We don’t know if that will be 6 months or 8 years from now so the game is watch and wait with regular blood tests. Thr good news however is that blood cancer is an area in which there has been tremendous development in recent years and there may even be an outside chance of a cure being developed before Adam’s levels rise again. Let’s keep fingers crossed!

This is where we come in. Inspired by Jim's amazing effort raising money for 'Movember' Jim came up with the idea of his close pals doing something to raise money for Myeloma UK on a yearly basis. Adam, Jim, Ben and Eddie came up with the idea of cycling coast to coast (or Sea to sea as it is officially called) over 2 days. Maybe a 'walk in the park' for Jim and Eddie but definitely out of Ben's comfort zone and if Adam can pull this off then hopefully an inspiration to everyone else with Multiple Myeloma.
Please give generously and let's beat this!!
