Story

This event holds a lot of meaning for me personally, as sadly my dad was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia.

Dad was born in the Lakes and we used to spend a lot of time there as a family during school holidays. So my sisters and I are joining Dad to walk just over 20km to bring back some childhood memories and raise vital funds for this worthy cause.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
