Story
On Sunday 3rd July we are running (in some sense!) the Leeds 10k for the first time to help raise awareness and hopefully some money for the Rob Burrow Centre for MND appeal.
Motor Neurone Disease is something that both myself and Charlotte have both felt very strongly about fundraising for, after seeing the battles that former Bradford City player Stephen Darby and Rhinos legend Rob Burrow are having against this cruel disease.
Like fans of both sports, we have been inspired to do our bit to support Rob's charity partner Leeds Hospital Charity, who have launched an appeal to build a specialist Motor Neurone Disease Centre in Leeds, which would make a huge difference to the lives of people affected by MND.
The overall fundraising target for the centre is £5 million. Although we may not be able to match the fundraising exploits of Rob's good friend Kevin Sinfield we certainly want to play in our part in helping to make this dream a reality to ensure people with MND can live the best life possible and their families can receive the correct care and support.
Anything you can give would be hugely appreciated and we hope to do you all proud!
Thank you.
