Story
Every year I try and raise money for this amazing charity, which I have the honour of being the Chairman for. There are more and more families affected by Mitochondrial disease every day and I want to raise money and awareness for all of our Mito families.
This year is no different and as well as running 650 miles this year for Lily...I've ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon AND have just ran the London Marathon - my first ever marathon, which I ran in 4hr 51!
The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.
I'm running for all of our Mito families but especially in the memory of Niamh, my good friend's Niall and Alison's little girl who sadly lost her fight for life against complex epilepsy and Mitochondrial.
Please join me in the fight against Mitochondrial Disease - and one day hopefully we will end our quest for a cure!
