After an unimaginably tough year for a very close friend we wanted to show our support however we could.  When we heard he was running his first marathon we felt the very least that could be done was to join him.  

After relatively short notice I thought I would call on my previous marathon experience to get me through the process. That was however over ten years ago and the training seems a lot tougher than my distant memories recall.  However I will get through and value and appreciate any support possible.  

CCLG is a charity that has been identified by Andrew as one that works closely with the hospital that has been amazing through the period and they also spend a large amount of funds on research.

Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer. Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. They bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. Supporting young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. They fund and support research into childhood cancers.
