Story
Cancer has been a big part of my life this year. This run is especially important for me to say Screw You Cancer, and to try to do just a little something for those people close to me that have been impacted by it. Its not something that you can ever prepare for; either being directly impacted by it, or having loved ones contract it. How could you ever be ready for, or know how to deal with it... I sure didn't and don't and am still trying to figure it out. So, this year, I'm doing my fourth half marathon. In addition to the run, I'm not doing Dry July, but I'm going to do dry August, September and October.. Its the least I can do to show support for one of my closest relatives who is going through the horrific treatment now, and in loving memory of a very special girl that we lost too soon.
For those of you that knew Cheryl, I don't need to tell her story, for those that didn't, the world lost a shining star that touched so many people in so many ways. I think of her every day, and mourn her passing terribly.
To #bemorecheryl I'm aiming for my fastest time ever this year - aiming for 2 hours or under. I'm also going to come up with a fun outfit to wear, maybe some glitz, maybe some glamour, but definitely a whole lot of colour.
Please help me reach my goal of just £500- to help in the fight against breast cancer.
