Story
Seed to Plate has changed the lives of disabled people by supporting them to grow, choose, prepare and cook nutritional, tasty meals for a healthier life and support their journey towards greater independence.
Without the support of people like you, the Seed to Plate project would not be able to continue and expand so that these disabled people can continue to strive and gain skills and confidence to live the most fulfilled life possible!
The project is making a difference to individual health and wellbeing, family, carers, wider community and the environment.
We have plans to extend the range of activities covered by the project to including a horticultural component whereby students can experience planting and growing their own food.
Any amount you can give is amazing and we so appreciate it! Below are some example costs so that you can see how far just a little bit can go:
· £5 helps to buy an apron & kitchen gloves
· £10 is the cost of food for a day
· £15 allows us to provide course training material accessible to people with learning disabilities
· £25 will give a person without funding one day on the course
· £50 allows us to purchase a wheelchair accessible raised garden bed
· £75 helps us cover the transport cost to take students out for potential work-experience or volunteering opportunity in the community
· £250 would pay for a student to attend a full 10 week course so that they can get the maximum benefit of the programme.
