Age UK are currently experiencing unprecedented demand following the outbreak of Coronavirus. 

The elderly are not only more vulnerable to the infection itself, but due to the need to self-isolate, will likely struggle with access to medication, grocery shopping and loneliness.

To help contribute to Age UK's Emergency COVID-19 Appeal, Omnicom Media Group UK are fundraising by means of a virtual marathon. Myself and numerous colleagues have come together to each complete our very own 26.2 miles (at a minimum) across the next month, be that running, walking or even taking part in at-home workouts. 

I thought to myself why not commit to something a little more challenging. That something was to run 5K every day for a month. Now completed, I can safely say that it was harder than anticipated, especially for someone who only ran their first 5K a matter of weeks prior to starting. I’m delighted to have met the challenge, covering almost four marathons not only injury-free but more importantly raising funds for a really worthy cause.
