Story
SANDS are a stillbirth and neonatal death charity. Supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies' lives.
Our Story.
In June 2012, we were just 9 weeks away from the due date of our first child. With the nursery decorated, nappies stacked high and tiny clothes freshly washed, we received the devastating news that our baby had a rare condition known as Agenesis of the Corpus Collosum. Our baby's brain hadn't fully developed in the womb. This meant our baby would be atleast 80% severely handicapped and probably never have any quality of life. To this day, it is still impossible to describe that heart wrenching feeling of being surrounded by specialists yet so incredibly helpless. Over the next three weeks we had various tests in a desperate bid for a different outcome. We prayed between our tears that a miracle might happen for our baby but it didn't. In fact, our baby's condition had deteriorated over those few weeks.
On July 14th 2012, Bella Rose Warren was born sleeping. A daughter, an Angel, who lives on in our hearts.
SANDS charity provided so much help and support to us during this difficult time and continue to do so even 9 months on. Without SANDS our painful loss would have been unbearable. We really cannot thank them enough.
We would like to help and support SANDS now for all that they do to help and support others going through this unimaginable heartache. Without fundraising and donations, they couldn't be so amazing!
Bella's daddy Lee and friends Micheal Cook, Debbie Mcluskey, Tony (Titch) Hill & Reg Chott will be skydiving 13,000ft to raise money for such a great cause. Please help them to achieve this by donating whatever you can.
Thank you, your donation means the world to us.
