Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Once again this year I’m aid of Alzheimer’s society I will be taking part in the memory walk on 25th september around the stormont.
Someone once said when you love someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they are diagnosed, when they go through different stages, when they go into care and when they die. 😢 This is called “Ambiguous Loss.”
‘Rapidly shrinking brain’ is how doctors described it. I wouldn't wish Dementia on anyone. As the persons brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink.
As a family we had to watch as this disease slowly took away one of the strongest women I’ve ever known my wee granny. This woman taught me so many things through my life and I will always do my best to try and help raise money for the Alzheimer’s society and other people going through what we went through. Granny made me incredibly proud with the fight she put up right to the very end and I will try to make her just as proud of me in this life 💔💔❤❤
