Story

The Ophthalmology department in Belfast Trust are fundraising for Friends of the Cancer Centre, by entering 5 teams for the Belfast Marathon Relay 2021. 

We are supporting this fantastic charity in memory of our wonderful and dearly missed colleague, Joanne McStravick.

We are a mixed bunch, ranging from beginner to expert runners, but we’re all so keen to come together for this great cause. Our 25 runners are listed below.

Each year Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life saving and life changing projects which make a real and positive difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families. The charity relies on donations from the public to be able to support these patients locally and across Northern Ireland.
