Story
The Museum of the Home is partnering with the London Homeless Collective to launch a new campaign, Behind the Door.
Behind the Door is a new campaign that aims to change the lives of the many women and families facing homelessness today. We need your help to succeed in our collective goal of ending female homelessness in London by 2025.
Through the Behind the Door campaign, we will be raising awareness of the unique issues faced by women and families experiencing homelessness in the UK, shifting perceptions about what homelessness can be and encouraging empathy.
To do this we are bringing together key stakeholders to develop the first ever pan-London strategy to tackle homelessness in women and children. This kind of culture/charity partnership to bring about genuine dynamic change is a new and exciting way to bring new audiences to old problems, to get people talking about issues they may otherwise choose to ignore and to challenge deep set prejudices in surprising ways.
By working together we know we can make a tangible, measurable, difference to homeless women in London. We need your help to succeed, please consider giving today to help this work become a reality.
100% of the funds raised will go towards the Behind the Door campaign, which will allocate support to each partner organisation. 70% will go to the Museum of the Home to deliver the campaign, with 30% to the London Homeless Collective to deliver frontline activities.
