Story
This Black History Month, on the 5th October, I'm proud to be taking part in the Mighty (UN)Mute.
It's a day-long vow of silence to raise vital funds for a ground-breaking racial justice project in Leicester, designed to bring together young people, artists, schools, and communities. Along with The Mighty Creatives' staff team, I'm putting myself 'on mute' to turn up the volume of young people's voices - young people who so often go unheard - and to honour the untold stories of the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans.
I won't be able to communicate verbally or electronically all day.
