I am very lucky that for the second year running I will be spending my birthday volunteering overseas. Nearly a year after responding to the earthquake of April 2015 I will be returning to Nepal to help a determined village in a remote valley in Nepal to rebuild their school and other essential resources that were damaged during the earthquake. As I have more than many people in life I don’t really need birthday presents and as I will be a 2.5 hour trek away from the nearest road it will be a struggle for anyone to buy me a beer.
