Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May 2019, I will take on my biggest physical challenge so far! I've wanted to do a long-distance hike for a while and now I've set the date and I'm going to do it! The 800+ mile hike will begin in Lowestoft in Suffolk and end (hopefully) at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse in Scotland.
I will hike on National and Local trails across Britain, staying at villages and towns along the route (sofas and spare rooms welcome!)
But this challenge is different, I am also inviting you all to join the hike too. You're welcome to join for the full 800+ miles if you want or join for a mile, few miles or even a full day.
You can read more about the challenge on my website beckythetraveller.com or email me beckythetraveller@gmail.com
Mental health is a charity close to my heart, having suffered from my mental health since I was young (although I never told anyone and at the time I didn't realise). Also into my adult life, I struggled again and for me, I've come to accept that it's more about managing my mental health rather than making it go away!
Hiking is one of the ways I do this if I'm struggling or having a bad day/week/month as soon as I motivate myself to get outside I instantly feel better. It's not a magic wand that makes it all go away but it definitely helps me.
But I know I'm not alone, I know many people who have struggled with their mental health. Some that have sadly taken their own lives, others who have attempted suicide once or more than once and so many more than generally have a tough time.
I'm doing this hike to raise money, awareness but most of all to offer a chance for you to join the hike.
Ideally, I would love to get over 100 people to join and raise over £1000 in the process.
Can I do it?
Well, that's up to you :)
