Thank you for visiting our page ♥️🙏
Myton Hospices are located in Warwick, Rugby and Coventry. They passionately believe “the final part of someone’s life is as important as the beginning’’.
For Myton to provide this care and their other support services to terminally ill people, they need to raise £9.1 million in a year.
Becky: “It seems hard to believe that it has been 10 years this year since losing mum & my mother in law within 12 short hours of one another - both to cancer. Both received incredible hospice care - with my Mum spending valuable respite at Myton Warwick.
I’m so pleased that my good friend Caroline has very kindly agreed to join me on this fundraising adventure!”
Caroline: “22 years ago dad passed away from cancer. After spending 5 years in and out of hospital and experiencing people passing away on the ward next to him during his stays, I know he would have liked to remain at home during his final days. Unfortunately in the end this was not an option for him, though we were grateful that the ward were able to provide him with a side room for his last hours.
When Becky asked me to join her on this challenge in memory of her mum I was keen to support her and raise funds for Myton. It is hard not to know of someone that has not experienced the care and support of Myton Hospice. Myton need all of us to support them by fundraising so that they can constantly keep providing these vital end of life services either at their hospices or in peoples homes.
Becky and Caroline: “We would like to carry out this challenge of climbing Snowdon and watching the morning sunrise, in memory of all of those we have lost, and to help raise money to ensure others benefit from the excellent work that Myton do.
We both feel that end of life hospice or at home care should be available to all if needed. Something which can only be offered and provided if additional funds are raised.
A message from Myton:-
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.
Last year we supported more than 1,500 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
