We want all those affected by addiction to heal, transform and thrive

Story

GIVING UP AND GIVING OUT!

For Lent this year I wanted to set a real challenge to raise money for Yeldall Manor.

Addiction grips and affects all areas of a person's life. It's dark, lonely, confusing and deadly. Recovery is not a road to a final destination, but rather choices made in daily life, one day at a time. It takes tiring hard-work, and often involves mistakes on the way, but it does get easier and people can change.

To support the men battling addiction I am doing two things:

1) GIVING UP (chocolate and sweets) - maybe not a huge battle for some people but it is for me! This challenge is about sacrificing something that's hard to give up.

2) GIVING OUT (belongings) - I will spend the 40 days going through all my stuff, giving things to charity or people (not just things I don't need but some things I like too!). This challenge is about letting go and generosity.

Please support me and the other YM AbstiLenters if you can - the work here really does save lives. Thank you.
