Story
We are taking part in the 10 peaks charity challenge on Sat 18th June to raise money for The Wilderness Foundation.
Due to our lack of training we are relying on sheer willpower to climb up to 3500 feet and back down to sea level, taking in multiple peaks through the day.
Based on the terrain, this will entail a total of approximately:
- 4000 feet of ascent
- 5000 feet of descent
- 15 miles of distance covered
The organisers are trying to raise £25,000 for The Wilderness Foundation...so any help you can give to this worthwhile charity would mean so much to us, the charity itself, and the teams of people helping to run this event.
Thank you - Becks and Dave
The Wilderness Foundation UK harnesses the power of the wilderness and nature to transform vulnerable lives and empowers people, in return, to conserve nature. Each year we work with over 7,000 people, including some of the hardest-to-reach and most disadvantaged young people and adults. All of our projects and programmes provide direct support, connecting people to nature, helping improve mental and physical wellbeing and teaching people to care for the natural world, using nature as a therapeutic tool.
