Story
I have visited the Yorkshire Cancer Centre several times this year with my mum who was undergoing a course of radiotherapy treatment there. I am aiming to raise £1000 for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre this year as a 'Thank You' to all those at the YCC who helped my mum and to ensure that other patients there in the future will have experiences that were just as positive as the one my mum had.
On Saturday 6th March, I took part in the Bogle Ramble, which was organised by Manchester Rag. I walked 26 miles across Manchester, going from the city centre heading up to Bury, across to Bolton and back down through Salford. Thanks to generous donations I raised £600 for the YCC.
A 'thank you' video with pictures from the walk can be seen here
On July 4th, I will be running the Jane Tomlinsons Leeds 10k in an attempt to reach my target.
Your support means a great deal to me and my family.
The Yorkshire Cancer Centre is aiming to become a world class force in the fight against cancer. It's developing research and treatments to ensure more people survive cancer. It needs funds to purchase specialist medical and scientific equipment that keeps the very latest cutting-edge technology an accessible reality aswell as patient 'Home From Home' comforts and environmental and arts projects that uplift, soothe and heal patients. It also needs funds to finance ground breaking clinical research that will lead to new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
