Story
I've been cheering on students at Leeds Beckett since 2014, and along the way I've met lots of talented students who have gone on to achieve amazing things. Since I've been at university on thing has become clear - education changes lives.
Unfortunately for many of the students I've met, financing a university education can be a real struggle and money is the fourth biggest concern for them when they start university.
This year I've decided to set myself a challenge to make a real difference to students at Leeds Beckett by raising money for the Bright Futures Scholarships. The scholarships support first-year students, giving them a helping hand so that they can concentrate on studying.
I'll be running the Leeds Half Marathon in May and I'm hoping to raise £1,500 to support a scholarship at Leeds Beckett and help a student with financial support throughout their time at university.
You can find out more about the people that your money will support by visiting the Leeds Beckett University website at www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/donate/our-recipients
Every penny we receive will go to the Bright Futures Scholarships.
