Story
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia when I first started at Uni of Southampton in 2018.
My family and friends were told to prepare themselves for the worst twice during that first week of my hospitalisation. I will never understand how difficult this must have been for them. However, the amazing intensive care team at UHS (University Hospital Southampton) were so supportive and friendly - I will always be grateful for this. Although I have been left with some after-effects, I do consider myself very lucky to have survived this awful disease - I restarted my medicine degree in 2020 and I'm now in my 2nd year!
I want to support MRF in their goal to defeat meningitis globally by 2030. Nobody should have to suffer from this disease and its devastating effects. My friend Lucy and I will be skydiving on the 4th August 2022 from 15000ft (the highest altitude available in the UK!)

Thank you for your support - every donation counts, no matter how small! :)
