Story
Sharks. Great big swimming tubes of muscle with giant mouths sporting conveyor belt rows of razor sharp teeth. You've all seen Jaws; you know what happens.
I on the other hand haven't seen Jaws, which may be why I have inexplicably agreed to do a rather silly thing. On the 19th November I will be voluntarily getting into a tank full of sharks, in open water, in order to raise money for KidsCan.
I used to be a strong swimmer and fairly comfortable in water, but it's been so long that I actually can't remember the last time I went swimming, and I've never scuba dived in my life. Hopefully though these will be nice cuddly sharks like Bruce.
As it happens though I have it on reliable authority that these sharks have an extra sense, that they can tell how much sponsorship a person has raised and will only attack if they don't think you've raised enough.
So please help me to raise as much as I can and hit my target in the next few weeks by donating. Kidscan is a brilliant charity and the only one to fund research specifically into children's and young people's cancers; if you want to find out more please visit their website.
Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure and it is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. KidsCan will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no extra cost to you.
Thank you all so much for sponsoring my madness/untimely death by shark and please wish me luck!
