And I've done it! Torrential rain, wind and fog so thick I could barely see the person in front of me, but managed to complete it in 6 hours.
Thanks so much for all your support!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After sadly losing my beloved Grandad Bert last year and watching him slowly and cruelly deteriorate over a number of years due to this horrendous disease I decided I wanted to do this in memory of him.
As well as doing this in Bert's memory and raising vital funds for the Alzheimer's Society it will be a personal challenge, as those that know me well know that I am not the fittest and a 7-10 hour ascent and decsent in the pitch black is certainly going to interesting...!
I have been set a minimum target by the Alzheimer's Society of £400, so any donation, however small will be gratefully received - roughly one person every three minutes gets diagnosed with a form of dementia and the Alzheimer's Society funds research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of all types of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease - so please help me in raising money and help in the fight against dementia.
