Story
The reality is none of us know when we may need the care and
support our local Hospice provides and both of our families, along with many friends have been touched by Hospice care in recent times.
Becca saw this with her dad,(Mike) and neighbour Lisa Zealand Caroline her mum (Sylvia) and friend Gail Dixon; some of the most special and very much loved people in our lives, living each and every day with a terminal illness but never complaining, always a smile on their faces, living their lives to the full and NEVER giving up.
The support and care they and a number of our friends received from their local Hospice along their journeys made a real difference.
St Barnabas is a local charity that touches the lives of many across Lincolnshire and offers everyone in our community the chance to receive the very best care available at what is often the most difficult time in their lives.
So in October 2019 ; we'll be trekking the Great Wall of China covering remote, dilapidated sections of the wall along with the restored sections, the battlements and some tough ascents, and rugged descents.
On top of this there are no toilets along the wall and our accommodation overnight to say the least will be somewhat basic; no room for hairdryers on this trip..arrgghhhh!!!
However hard; we will do this showing the same courage and determination that so many we know have shown on their journeys and in the knowledge that we are helping to ensure
St Barnabas care and support continues to be there for the people of Lincolnshire when they need it
Watch out for a number of fundraising events and activities and do join us on our journey!
Every penny really will make a difference and will be very much appreciated!
