Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  For my birthday I thought I would do something a little different, instead of cards and presents i'd like you to give a little money to charity for me...doesn't have to be much as everything is appreciated.

As many of you are aware this is a charity very close to my heart.

When Ben was diagnosed with Cancer 14.02.2000 it was devastating to my whole family but it was caught really early and so a little lighter Ben now has two children and life is now fine.

But the fight still needs to continue for everyone else out there who needs the support and research this charity provides.

Testicular cancer primarily affects younger men and is the most common form of cancer in men aged between 15 and 44.

Testicular cancer is still quite rare, with nearly 2,000 new cases a year in the UK.

Since 1975, the incidence of testicular cancer has more than doubled - and the reasons for this are not yet known.

Thanks to advances made at the Everyman Centre testicular cancer is, with treatment, 97% curable. And that figure rises to 99% curable if it's caught in the early stages.

Testicular cancer causes around 70 deaths every year in the UK.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep and donate now.

RCN exempt charity status
Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.
