We would love Harry's story to inspire fundraising for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity because only research can stop this awful disease.

Story

In recognition of Harry's (who lost his battle with a rare form of childhood cancer, aged 5) bravery and to honour the memory of the son of a school friend of ours.

Our aim is to raise money and hopefully reach the target required to fund a 3 year programme of dedicated research into Ewing’s Sarcoma and other childhood cancers to ensure children like Harry have a better chance of surviving.

Thomas Bull, Chris Clark, Peter Crews, James Houghton, Mark Lowten, Joe Sylvester and Paul Wheeler will all attempt to:

Beat the Blues!

On Saturday 29 May, in a race against the clock, we will set off from the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, cycling 100kms to Bedford, carrying the match ball for the Bedford Rugby team (aka The Blues) end of season championship clash against Ampthill RFU.

Then, at kick-off, we will endeavour to run over 100km between the seven of us before the final whistle blows

Which will mean we'll each have to cover double the distance of each of the younger, fitter and professional rugby players.

Harry's Giant Pledge will fund pioneering research into a new treatment approach for children with cancer.

Harry's legacy will fund a dedicated research team who will test a new treatment option for children, combining adult cancer drugs with radiotherapy for the first time, the aim being to make the treatment much more effective.
