Story
Brighton Therapy Partnership is supporting CALM throughout February 2016. We have three blokes speaking at our events in February, all of whom are sporting cracking beards.
Dr Andrew Reeves is speaking on the topic of counselling suicidal clients.
The male suicide rate has been on the rise in the UK in recent years. One man every 2 hours takes their own life. As counsellors, we can support clients who talk to us about their issues.
But first they have to talk. 42% of men have contemplated suicide, of which 41% felt that they couldn't talk to anyone.
CALM is working tirelessly to change the stigma men face in discussing their feelings.
You can find out more about why we're supporting CALM here - http://www.brightontherapypartnership.org.uk/brighton-therapy-partnership-is-supporting-calm-throughout-february/
We will be donating a portion of our sales from our events in February to CALM, and additionally we will be continuing to promote this cause throughout the month. Anyone is welcome to donate to this page, and don't forget to send in a snap of your beard.
If you can grow a beard, then do that. If not, we need to get more creative. Furry accessories are required. Cats, Brillo pads, Sharpie markers... how you do it is up to you.
