Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a pair of dog loving friends who work together at Newnham Court Veterinary hospital in Maidstone. In our spare time we love meeting up to walk our three dogs - Jackson the old border terrier cross, Stanley the crazy spaniel cross and Max the tiny chihuahua cross.

Max was re-homed from Battersea Brands Hatch when he was just 12 weeks old. He was a tiny frightened little puppy who was scared of everyone and everything, but the support from Battersea throughout the re-homing process and the months after to help him get settled was outstanding.

We wanted to do something to help raise money for Battersea that would really push us to our limits and I think we have found our match in the Isle of Wight Challenge! The walk is of the whole perimeter of the Island - 106km in total. We have decided to do it over 2 days which is a whopping 53km a day!

We have just under 12 weeks to prepare. You can follow our training walks alongside our personal doggy motivators on Instagram - #beanberg4battersea.

Any contributions towards our goal for this amazing charity will be gratefully received. Battersea aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need and care for them until they can find them their forever home but they can only continue to do this with donations from lovely people like you - so please dig deep!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
