We will deliver messages to your loved ones from the bottom of the pool in their darkest hour to give them a lift between 10pm and 4am as part of our 24-hour charity swim.

Send a short message in advance or during the event to 24@blackcountrytriathletes.com with the swimmer's name.

It is open to all those who have donated. Swimmers will see the message on the pool floor when they turn around in the shallow end.

MAIN STORY:

Our wonderful swimming coach, Alan, was diagnosed with MND late summer 2022. Unfortunately, he passed away in late September. He has given so much to so many people at our triathlon club, enabling them to swim distances they thought they would never achieve, complete triathlon races where the swim seemed impossible and giving us confidence in the water and beyond. He always delivered interesting and challenging swim sessions with passion and a wonderful humour.

On 28th/29th December 2022, Black Country Triathletes will be aiming to do a 24-hour swim challenge to raise money for and awareness of Motor Neurone Disease Association.

We will be in teams of two and begin the challenge at 12.00pm 28/12/2022. Each team will swim 24 miles (12 miles per person) over 24 hours, finishing at 12.00pm on 29/12/2022 and aiming to raise £24000.
