WHY
Bethany believes every child deserves a safe and loving home. This team honors adoptive families who are called by faith to step in the gap for his children and living James1:27.
WHO
Matt &Joanna, the face of Team James 1:27, are one of hundreds of families who have adopted through Bethany NC over the last 36 years. They started their adoption journey with Bethany in the summer of 2009. Their family quickly grew and in January 2011 they adopted their daughter Alexandra, daughter Emma in July 2013, and son, Matthew in November 2017. Matt has dedicated to serving Bethany and currently serves as a member of Bethany North Carolina's Board of Directors. Matt, who serves as a pastor at a local church in Charlotte, had the privilege to travel to Ethiopia on behalf of Bethany. There he and other pastors who accompanied him, learn more about how Bethany's mission and work were impacting children in Ethiopia.
