Story

We'd never ask you to do anything that we wouldn't do ourselves, which is why our Fundraising Team has signed up to take on our Red Runners virtual running challenge! We've chosen from 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon distances.

The cancellation of mass participation events has meant that our our charity has seen a huge reduction in fundraising from these challenges. Your support has never been needed more and we'd love it if you could kindly sponsor us. Every donation puts a big smile on our face :)

£25 could pay for a pair of professional singers to engage a child with songs at their bedside.

£50 could fill a ‘distraction’ bag with toys, games and puzzles to keep little ones busy and occupied during medical procedures.

£100 could purchase five ‘Health Passports’ for a young person working with our Mental Health Service. These bespoke journals are designed to empower patients to manage their own health and wellbeing.

£500 could give a sick child and their family an adventure holiday to help them make memories away from the bedside.

From everyone on the Fundraising Team, thank you for supporting Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.

P.S If you'd like to join our team and take on your own distance, you can register at https://bchc.realbuzzevents.com and help us do more for our sick kids.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
