Story

In Spring 2012, a team from Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust will be heading to Africa to support the work of the charity, Cricket without Boundaries.

The team will be lead by Trust Chairman Phil O'Brien and Director Darren Bicknell.  The main trip will go to Uganda with volunteers Martin James, Ken Kirk, Neil Atkins and Claire Marris accompanying Phil and Darren.  Meanwhile, Rachael Dyer will be heading to Botswana with another CWB group.

There are some pictures of our volunteers in action at Belvoir in a slide show to the left of the page - and if you click on the video link, you will be able to see a brief video explaining CWB's work promoting cricket and delivering an AIDS message to youngsters in remote villages in Africa.

All the team are paying for their own flights, expenses, jabs.  Also, individuals are aiming to hit a target of £750 per person to buy equipment to leave as a legacy with the children.  This fundraising aims to supplement and support the individual fundraising for the project.

We really appreciate any contribution that you can make no matter how small.
