Story
Home security is the comfort our family most often takes for granted. In reality, as of January 2020, there were 580,466 people experiencing homelessness in America - 30% of which were families living with children.
Folks battling acute physical or behavioral health conditions and/or long term disabling conditions are more likely to experience homelessness, while homelessness itself can exacerbate or even cause debilitating mental and/or physical illness. And while homelessness is devastating at any age, for children in particular it can have serious physical, emotional, and psychological implications.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to end homelessness in the United States. The National Alliance to End Homelessness uses research and data to find solutions to homelessness, works with federal and local partners to create a solid base of policy and resources to support those solutions, and then deploys community resources to implement those solutions.
We hope you'll consider joining us in donating to help end home insecurity in America. We will be matching every dollar donated now until 8pm EST on Giving Tuesday - November 30, 2021.
