We support everyone with a hearing loss to improve access, equality & inclusion

Story

After 42 years in Education and 34 years working in Camden schools, I have decided to retire gracefully before my tenure as Headteacher of the Year runs out!

I do not want any gifts as the memory of working with so many amazing people is enough for me, however if people did want to contribute to JDA, it would be much appreciated.

This is a small charity based in Barnet which shares the same values  of inclusion and equality that I have fostered in all of the schools I have worked in. The charity helps people from across all groups, with hearing loss, hard of hearing, Deaf sign language users and the DeafBlind.

JDA has supported my family, as well as others in the local community and I have learnt a lot of the impact of Covid on the deaf, and the DeafBlind community.

The charity also does a lot for senior citizens (I am now one!).

Many thanks for your support and I am very lucky to have worked with you all. So many lovely memories!
