Story
There are around 367,000 new cancer cases in the UK every year - that's around 1,000 every day.
So with that in mind, we thought we'd do our bit for MacMillan Cancer Support again this year, albeit under very different circumstances!
With the majority of staff working from home, this year's Bauder coffee morning will be a virtual one. Take 10 minutes out to call a colleague on TEAMS, have a cuppa and catch up! (please ask your line manager for permission first)
Given the restrictions we are facing due to the pandemic, it's more important now than ever for us to communicate with each other and stay in touch.
If you are able to spare a few pounds, please donate to this page. It would be great if you can leave an inspirational quote, a witty one liner, or just an uplifting comment alongside your donation!
Here's what your money could do to help MacMillan Cancer Support:
£52 could help run our Online Community forum for over an hour. Typically, that would give nearly 750 people affected by cancer both emotional and practical support.
£250 could pay for five people living with cancer to attend a health and wellbeing event, providing them with the skills to improve the management of these areas in their lives.
£335 could pay for a Macmillan grant that helps a family affected by cancer take a holiday and enjoy precious time together.
£546 could pay for a Macmillan Social Care Worker for a week, helping patients, family members and carers manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.
£1023 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for a week, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
