Batting for Breast Cancer

Batting for Breast Cancer · 23 July 2022
Guernsey Cricket are heading to Finland to compete in an ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Qualifying tournament. The team will be playing 5 matches over a 10 day period and want to use this opportunity to raise money for a good cause.
Guernsey Cricket have selected the Pink Ladies - a local charity that raises awareness and supports those affected by breast cancer in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
One of our senior players and Guernsey Cricket Development Manager, Ben, has a loved one who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and he is the driving force behind Batting for Breast Cancer.
"Breast cancer affects 1 in 9 women and is one of the world's most common cancers. Someone dear to me has recently been diagnosed so this is a cause very close to my heart. We also want to use this opportunity to reiterate the fact that men can also get breast cancer so it is important for all genders to check themselves regularly." - Ben.
